I’ve been building models since 1971, when Aurora, Monogram, Revell and AMT were king, Tamiya and Hasegawa were Oriental legends, and tube glue was state-of-the-art for building.

Things have come a long, long way in terms of what’s available for the modeler, and I hope to touch on that in this blog.

What I also hope to do is share things I’ve learned and keep learning across almost four decades.

While I’ve grown fonder of more detail – in construction and finish – I still prefer the fun of the hobby rather than one-upmanship. On those rare occasions where I pull off a cute trick, chances are I learned it from someone else..

If you’re visiting, please feel free to comment, ask questions or even share a tidbit that will help everyone who might chance across this blog.

  1. Here’s a link to a nice article about building model airplane kits (Revell in particular)
